Can you Relate?

Your friends think you got it all figured out. On the outside it may seem like everything is “all good” but on the inside you feel like “you don’t alway fit”. Things used to be so much simpler when you knew what to expect from life. School, friends, extra curricular activities. Now you have so much to balance and life feels so much more complicated, so much more overwhelming.

You feel like you have to compete with everyone around you to be the best all of the time. The best employee, the best son or daughter, the best athlete, the best friend. You start to feel exhausted and your needs somehow become last on the “to do” list.  You keep powering through because that’s what you have always done, that’s all you know how to do, that’s what’s expected from you.

You begin to question yourself, your choices, your abilities and you're not exactly sure what “this” is all about. You don’t feel secure anymore and the future begins to look really scary. You wish time could just slow down and you didn’t have to grow up.

Life as a young adult can be really hard to navigate and sometimes it can feel like you're going through it alone. There are so many choices to make, new responsibilities to manage, and that new work-life balance to navigate. Even if you have a great support system in your life, most likely you are looking to cultivate independence and freedom. You’re looking to develop your own point of view, your own voice.

Together Let’s Help You Feel Heard.

Let’s Explore How To:

  • Make “your own” choices” without the influence of others

  • Navigate new responsibilities and the transition to young adulthood

  • Communicate your needs to the important people in your life and establish appropriate boundaries

  • Manage your emotions, including anxiety or lack of motivation

  • Be more confident “just being yourself”

  • Let go of negative thinking and self doubt and increase positive thinking

  • Establish a better work-life balance

Being a young adult can be a difficult time and be filled with many transitions & challenges, but you are not alone.

Through my holistic approach you will learn about the mind-body connection and discover how to tune into what your “inner voice” is telling you about yourself. Through that connection we will learn how to let go of negative thinking and see things from a more positive point of view. You will learn concrete strategies for managing negative emotions, along with how to establish better boundaries with the important people in your life.

Often it can be helpful to speak with someone that can offer a different point of view and an “unbiased perspective” to help with any difficulties that you may be facing. Through therapy and my individualized approach we will tailor each session specific to your needs and help empower you to find your own solutions and ultimately discover your own “voice” for who you want to be. If you are looking to decrease stress, increase confidence, and ultimately improve your overall sense of self, then welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

  • Yes. Everything we discuss is completely confidential and stays only between you and I. The only time I am able to violate confidentiality is I am afraid for your safety or the safety of another. Even then this would be discussed in a session first.

  • If you are someone who has been feeling overwhelmed with their responsibilities? Feeling stressed, or irritable, or simply want to improve your overall relationship with yourself, and those around you. Then therapy may be appropriate for you. Still unsure, contact me for a free consultation.

  • Really anything you want. There is not topic that would be "off limits" to discuss in therapy. Once a client feels safe and comfortable during a therapy session they will be able to discuss whatever they feel is most appropriate to bring up in a session. If they are unsure what this may be, I will be able to offer you a more direct approach depending on what you are here to work on. Don't worry I got you.
